Since we are so close to Christmas, we thought we would curate an AI-themed holiday gift guide for all our tech lovers. From AI-powered board games, to circuit board jewellery, we've got gift ideas to suit every preference. We hope you enjoy them!

Phone case

Perfect for the tech nerds in your life, this phone case comes in three different case styles: soft case, snap case and tough case (for those of us that are prone to smashed screens).

ChatGPT mug

Personally, we don’t think you can ever have too many mugs, especially punny ones. Rock up to the office and sip your next cup of English Breakfast in style with this AI-themed mug.

AI path debate hoodie

Fancy spicing up your wardrobe? We’ve got the very item you need for a new staple outfit. Very à la mode this season, might we say. Disclaimer: could provoke extremely controversial debates about the future of AI.

AI themed stickers

These medical AI stickers are the perfect decorative addition to your water bottle, laptop, notebook and bag, or maybe you simply want to spruce up that blank wall in your house.

Smart board games

Fancy going head-to-head in connect 4 with an AI opponent? You can now square off in a race to reach four-in-row, across three stages of difficulty. As well as being an absolute blast, this gift is also educational, developing cognitive skills such as pattern recognition and problem solving. The second game we’ve singled out is the smart chessboard, created by Square Off (CA, USA). The board itself is rollable and electronic, supplied with innovative AI technology that automatically adapts to your level of expertise. Through Square Off’s globally connected gameplay, you can challenge anyone from across the globe to play on your board. The pieces even move independently using robotic sensors! And don’t even think about cheating, both board games have built-in referees that record all your moves and can spot any foul play.

AI clock that uses ChatGPT to tell the time with mini rhymes

Okay, this one is slightly cheating as it’s not technically available to buy yet, but we couldn’t leave it out. Created by blogger Matt Webb, this AI clock concocts a new poem every minute using ChatGPT. ChatGPT is provided with a single prompt instructing the chatbot to generate two rhyming lines. The prompt also explains the physical layout of the room and the clock’s location within it, enabling the clock to speak as a physical existence, like in the example below: “In cozy shelves, I do reside, / It’s nearly noon, the clock confides.” Pretty cool huh? Although originally a fun DIY project that Matt casually tweeted about, his AI clock received an abundance of attention and due to everyone’s enthusiasm, he created a plan to bring the clock to market. Matt plans to create two versions of the clock: a boxed fully-assembled AI clock, and a ‘build-your-own’ AI clock kit including instructions, code and a parts list. You can read updates about the manufacturing plans here.

Circuit board necklaces

The best thing since sliced bread? Well, maybe not quite, but these circuit board necklaces really are the perfect accessory for that special someone in your life. PLUS, they come in gold or silver and in a range of colors!

Subscription to an AI image generator

One for that arty friend maybe? Ideal for both imaginative kids and seasoned professionals looking to enhance their creative capacities, AI-powered image generators enable users to turn their dreams into reality, from personalized coloring pages to impressionist oil paintings. The limit is their imagination.

Tobbie and Moxie the robots

Tobbie: Another build-your-own kit, this time in the form of a robot. The robot uses infrared sensors to navigate itself around, and can either follow someone or explore on its own. Tobbie also displays a variety of lights and sounds and can interact with you using gestures and emotions. Moxie: On the more expensive side, Moxie is an AI robot that uses play-based conversational learning to support skill development in kids from the ages of 5–10. Moxie can learn to recognize a child’s face, play music, dance, crack jokes, play Simon Says, go on a scavenger hunt, and much more.
